Where there is great love, there are always miracles...

Hi all!!!! Sorry we haven't upated in awhile. We have been adjusting to our new routine of life and so far it's been pretty great! We are a little more tired then usual but life is good! Kaleb has been doing fantastic! We have had a total of nine doctor appointments since he had his surgery in Janurary and everything is checking out well! We are due to see most of his specialists this fall. We are also due back in Texas this March to see the rest of his specialists along with another MRI flow study. We will keep everyone updated about those appointments. Kaleb's treatment every evening is still working correctly. It still takes us about two hours every night but Kaleb is finally pain free when it comes to his tummy. His bloatness has also improved so much!! Our little man no longer has Santa's belly!

It's an absolute blessing to see him blossoming right before our very eyes. To see him not endure that constant horrible pain is a gift!!! It's like all of a sudden everything just clicked for him. It has been a long rough four years but I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Everything that has happened and everything that we will continue to face in regards to his medical, are all important life lessons. It's building, remolding and shaping us into new people. We know that God has a bigger plan and even though we can't see it... He can and thats all that matters! Our job is to put everything in our Fathers hands, to remain positive and to not give up! We know we are not alone in this battle and either are others that are going through difficult situations themselves.

It's important to keep the love inside your heart, to not lose hope and most importantly your faith! As hard as each and everyone's journey is.... Remember you are LOVED and you are not alone! There are miracles big and small all around us everyday! It's our job to stop, slow down and pay attention! Miracles come in all shapes and forms! There are no rules! Miracles are everywhere.... Finding a new home when you ended up losing your old one... A phone call from a loved one that you needed to hear... A text you received from someone, telling you exactly what you needed.... A stranger that improves your day with an act of kindness.... A break on bills or an extension of time to pay them.... A car mechanic giving you a break on your bill for your car that constantley breaks down on you.... Seeing a little girl that has no hair with the biggest SMILE on her face, to put things back in perpective for you... Finding the right doctors to help give you the answers and hope you have been searching for.... A boss that is so understanding and compassionate about all the lost work due to your sickness or sick child... Family and friends coming together to give your family a vacation that you never thought was possible.... Someone who brings you laughter when you need it the most...comfort when you are feeling alone.... A song that came on the radio that you needed to hear at that moment and you knew it was meant for you... Family, friends and strangers that keep praying for you...God works through others and we are all connected!!!

It's up to us to recognize these small miracles, look up to the heavens and say... Thank you God!!!! I know that was you!!!  We all need to rise up when darkness falls upon us. Strenghten and build up one another! Spread love not hate! Life is good and God is good!! So as one of our pastors used to say.... Do no harm, do good and love God!

On another note a dear family friend of ours is fighting a battle of her own. I mentioned her in my previous entries a long time ago. Her name is Alisha and she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32. Alisha beat her agressive breast cancer and has been cancer free up until a week ago. Alisha is now battling leukemia... I'm attaching her go fund me page link that has her story connected to it. Please take the time to read it and to say a prayer for her and her family! Prayer is so powerful and in great numbers, is unstoppable. It's one of the best gifts you can give someone!

Here is Alisha's link  https://www.gofundme.com/alishastocker  Thanks again and we hope all is well with you and your family! Love to all and God Bless!! Remember..... September is Craniosynostosis and Chiari malformation awareness month!!! So don't forget to rock your PURPLE!!!
